interest in the Portugal Trip that was
recently advertised. (There are only 2 seats left on this
amazing trip!!)
As previously mentioned all touring is with a private
driver and includes many wonderful dinners along with

Highlights of Portugal
MONDAY, SEP 26 - ARRIVAL IN PORTUGAL
Arrival Lisbon airport. After clearing customs transfer
will be waiting for you outside customs hall to provide
your transfer to hotel LISBOA PLAZA BOUTIQUE HOTEL**** for
4 nights including breakfast daily. Located close to
Avenida da Liberdade, the Lisboa Plaza Hotel is already a
classic among Lisbon hotels. The hotel continues to be an
architect's dream and over the years have created an
atmosphere of informal good taste. Afternoon at leisure
before your welcome dinner this evening. Your welcome
dinner today will be at RESTAURANT - CLARA CHIADO

TUESDAY, SEP 27 - HALF DAY LISBON PRIVATE TOUR
Morning city tour of Lisbon- 9:00 am - Panoramic city
tour, passing by the Edward VII Park, the São Jorge Castle
and Bairro Alto. Tour along Rossio, the heart of Lisbon,
Praça do Comércio (square) and a stroll along the estuary
of the Tagus River. Visit to Alfama, the most ancient
neighborhood of Lisbon, through its strait and confusing
lanes. A stop to see the Lisbon Cathedral, dated from the
XII century. Walk along the riverside by the port of
Lisbon, with stops in the Belém Tower, the Monument to the
Discoveries and the Hieronymites Monastery. Afternoon at
leisure to enjoy Lisbon on your own .

WEDNESDAY, SEP 28 - LISBON/ SINTRA / ESTORIL/
CASCAIS
Full day tour - pick up from hotel at 9:00 am . You will
visit the romantic village of Sintra and visit the Queluz
Palace, a charming spot where the Portuguese Royal
Families spent long summers. Then we will drive through
Sintra and along the coast arriving at Cabo de Roca, the
western most point in continental Europe. Along the coast
passing by Guincho beach, spot of windsurfers, to get to
Boca do Inferno, a grotto created by the sea erosion.
During our afternoon tour, we will visit the seaside
villages of Cascais and Estroril where we will stop for
lunch on your own.

THURSDAY, SEP 29 - LISBON
Day at leisure, evening dinner/show at Café Luso
RESTAURANT - CAFÉ LUSO Considered as one of the most
famous Fado restaurants in Lisbon, it is located at the
bohemian "Bairro Alto" quarter. The restaurant features an
excellent Portuguese based gastronomy. Entertainment is
provided by singers and musicians performing the Fado
music (nostalgic yet beautiful music, traditional from
Lisbon). A glance over the Portuguese folklore is also
part of the lively entertainment show.

FRIDAY, SEP 30 - LISBOA/ ÓBIDOS/ ALCOBAÇA/ NAZARÉ/ FÁTIMA/
COIMBRA
Morning departure at 9:00 am from hotel. A wonderful day
visiting Portugal's landmarks. Visit three of the seven
Portugal Wonders including the Nazaré fishing village and
the Santuary of Our Lady of Fátima. We will continue
along in the direction to the Óbidos village, surrounded
by the walls of the XIV century, and characterized by its
narrow streets and the typical white houses. Then we go on
to Alcobaça to visit the Monastery chapel, which is
characterized for the pureness of its Gothic Cistercian
architecture. Enjoy free time for lunch in Nazaré , one
of the most colorful Portuguese fishing villages. In the
afternoon we arrive at the Fatima's Sanctuary, centre of
Christian faith and a local of world pilgrimage, to visit
the Basilica where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta,and
Francisco can be found. At the end of the day, we
continue to Coimbra, we will stay at the HOTEL QUINTADAS
LÁGRIMAS - for 2 nights including breakfast daily, and
dinner the first night. The setting of this remarkable
hotel is a wooded, lake-strewn estate. Comfortable
accommodations in this former palace converted and
completely renovated to modern standards. Quinta das
Lágrimas also features a spa and a well known restaurant
with a Michelin star, where you will be able to savor a
market cuisine created by Executive Chef Antonio Lourenço.

SATURDAY, OCT 01 - COIMBRA
This morning we will tour Coimbra starting at 9:00 am
and will visit one of the most ancient Universities in the
world that overlooks the Mondego River. We will also
visit the famous University Library "the jewel of
libraries" Enjoy the rest of your afternoon leisure.

SUNDAY, OCT 02 - COIMBRA/ AVEIRO/ OPORTO
Departure at 9:00 am to Oporto. Along the route, we will
view many of the local harbors where the brave fisherman
set sail to do their cod fishing in the remote seas of
Norway. Close to the sea front we arrive to "Costa
Nova",with colorful and beautiful houses mixed with some
palm trees, which are a delight with such a beautiful
landscape. Right next to it we will find the city of
Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice, a city crossed by canals
that are sailed by the "moliceiros" boats. Here we can see
the beauty of the houses' façades covered by tiles and the
display windows of coffee-shops decorated with the
famous"ovos-moles" (a sweet made of egg yolks and sugar)
that invite us to go inside and try them. At the end of
the afternoon arrival at Oporto for accommodation at
PESTANA PORTO HOTEL**** for 3nights including breakfast.
Located in Praça da Ribeira, right in the historic centre
of Porto, and set on the city`s medieval wall, the Hotel
Pestana Porto is situated in an area of ancient buildings
dating back to the16th, 17th and 18th centuries. DINNER
AT - D.TONHO PORTO .

MONDAY, OCT 03 - FULL DAY DOURO VALLEY TOUR
We begin our journey at 9:00 am to Amarante with visit to
the Convent and Church of S. Gonçalo continuing towards
Mesão Frio, with a stop to appreciate the view of the
Douro River. Leaving towards Régua with a visit to the
Quinta da Pacheca for a wine tasting . Departure to Pinhão. Enjoy lunch
on your own this afternoon . Then on to Mateus with visit
to the Mateus Palace.

TUESDAY, OCT 04 - CITY AND WINERY TOUR - OPORTO
Today at 9:00 am, we will enjoy a half day
panoramic tour of Porto visiting many of the
cities main attractions including Rua de Santa
Catarina(Majestic Café), Avenida dos Aliados, Cathedral,
Praça da Batalha and Praça do Infante. Enjoy a brief
passage through the mouth of the river Douro and the Fort
of São Francisco Xavier . Enjoy the afternoon at
leisure. FAREWELL DINNER AT - TAYLOR'S PORT WINE
CELLARS .

After breakfast you can have some time at leisure until
pick-up time for your transfer to the Airport.
