a Nantucket native, Bevin loves her island home but also enjoys experiencing
new places. Growing up in a family involved with the industry she’s been
fortunate to travel extensively. While in college she had the opportunity to
study abroad in Siena, Italy. Using that as a home base she traveled
throughout Italy, and was also able to visit Interlaken, Switzerland and
Tunis, Tunisia. Some of her favorite traveling experiences have been while
driving cross-country with friends and sightseeing along the way. Her
relaxation vacation spot is St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which has
been an annual family favorite for over 20 years. Be it bungee jumping out
of a gondola in Switzerland, canyoning in the Alps, white-water rafting in
Wyoming, or skydiving in Florida – all are vacation memories she won’t soon
forget. She loves every aspect of travel from the people, the sights, the
food, the adventure, and even some of the unexpected. Within this past year
she has visited the Canadian Rockies, Tokyo, Japan, the U.S. Virgin Islands,
and cruised to Mexico on Royal Caribbean!
Come visit Bevin and let her help you plan a vacation you won’t soon

Cathy recently made the transition from
being a long time client, avid traveler to
part time employee at Swain’s Travel. She is learning the ins and outs of
working at a travel agency and enjoying the experience of a second career
outside of the hospital/ health care setting. As a licensed nutritionist,
Cathy loves and enjoys great food, she has had countless memorable meals
while traveling and will share many of her special favorite restaurants with
her clients. Meeting friends in Paris for a Thanksgiving dinner of stuffed
morels and duck confit, then continuing on to Bruges and returning home from
Amsterdam was recent favorite trip & a great start to the holiday season. In
addition, Spain is a frequent destination that Cathy loves to travel to –
most recently having traveled to Madrid, Barcelona, Cordoba, Valencia, and
Carmona, a charming small town outside of Seville. Never wanting to be far
from the ocean, stays in Cadiz, S’Agaro, Cadaques, Cap de la Crues, and
Javea afford both a beach and cultural experience. Annual cold weather
vacations include many ski resorts in both eastern and western U.S. and
Canada, as well as Zermatt, Davos and Klosters in Switzerland. For the
first time in over 20 years Cathy will opt for a warm weather winter trip
with plans to go to Turks and Caicos this season.

After 16 years of living on Nantucket, Bobbi
relocated to Pinehills, in Plymouth, MA where she is an Independent Travel
Agent for Swains Travel. Bobbi, after being bitten by the travel bug, has
many years of travel and tourism experience and frequently journeys to
Europe including numerous trips to Italy and France. A wonderful
experience was a journey on a European River Cruise from Prague to
Budapest, which she says was "magnificent"!!! A recent trip to Ireland and
a future planned trip to Portugal gives her an opportunity to bring a
"ladies group" to these special places.
Give Bobbi a call if you want to know about shopping
in Florence, buying Limoncello in Sorrento, wine tasting in Tuscany or a
barge cruise through Champagne Country in France. She has other fabulous
ideas. Let's Travel!!!

Stan helps out part-time - he stops by whenever he's
In January, Stan went on a Seabourn cruise from Auckland, New Zealand to
Sydney, Australia, with a lot of stops in between. The boat, the Odyssey,
was awesome (less than 400 passengers) as well as the scenery and people
from both countries.
Last year, Stan tried a Windstar cruise for the first time from St.
Maarten that he thought was wonderful - great itinerary, including stops on
Antigua and St. Barth's, and a great 'yacht'. The Wind Surf had about 250
passengers, was recently renovated, and had a nice, casual atmosphere. Who
wants to wear a coat or tie in the Caribbean?
He's from Florida, where he has an 'occasional' winter home.
His favorite places to go include St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in the South
of France, which he tries to make at least twice a year. Recent side
trips include Beaune, Corsica, Portofino, Bellagio on Lake Como, and St. Remy de Provence for
the Fête de la Transhumance.
years ago he returned from Europe on the QM2. Favorite trips include: charter
boat along the Dalmatian Coast from Dubrovnik to Vienna, bicycling from
Prague to Vienna
with Butterfield and Robinson, bare-boat chartering in the Virgin Islands,
and visits to Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
He also maintains the web pages, so send him an email with any questions or
comments about the web site. Or if you want to see any of the 357 photos of
his last trip to France and Italy.
